Following her time as a thesis intern, Sandra Englund has chosen to continue her career at Born. During her internship, she gained early insight into the work of a business law firm—an experience that sparked her interest in staying on.
“The most valuable part of my time as a thesis intern at Born was getting a first glimpse of how a business law firm operates. I really enjoyed both the work itself and my colleagues, which made it feel like a natural decision to continue here,” says Sandra.
According to Sandra, the transition from thesis intern to associate lawyer has felt both smooth and reassuring. She describes a work environment where she has gradually taken on more responsibility, while always having support close at hand.
“I feel confident in my role and know that I can always get help and support when needed.”
When asked to describe the culture and collaboration at Born, Sandra sums it up in three words: open, engaged, and non-hierarchical—qualities she says made her feel like part of the team early on.
“Early on during my internship, I felt that ‘this is where I want to work.’ The assignments were interesting, and my colleagues made me feel welcome from day one.”
For students considering applying for a thesis internship at Born, her advice is clear:
“Take the chance and apply. Being able to discuss your thesis with such knowledgeable colleagues is invaluable—and it’s also a lot of fun to be a thesis intern here.”
We are delighted to have Sandra with us and look forward to continuing the journey together.
